Mr. Hatfield managed the Sago

for the company's dotted line.

The union was not going to tell him

how he could run his mine.

they heard the explosion --

In town everybody prayed

that somehow they'd get out

To a church where the families had gathered

came word the miners were alive.

How hard then to learn the truth

that all but one had died!

Mr. Ross the mine owner told the reporters

he'd help the widows and their kids

but from the millions that he has

not one cent did he give.
