One Man's Torture

Is it really torture if we say it isn't?

One man's torture is another man's entertainment.

Some people pay good money to be treated this way, it's true.

Don't ask me how I know, I just do.

Fun and games with whips and chains and you don't have to pay us

but we're all listening closely if there's something you want to tell us.

You might have information but then maybe you don't.

We'll do this to you anyway, because it's what we do, you know.

And is it really torture...

Feet on the box, hood on the head, and then pose for the pictures.

Don't forget the electrodes for the ends of the fingers.

We might have to stick a light bulb where the sun doesn't shine.

You might have to stand up for hours but you can still talk just fine.

And is it really torture...

If someone screams in a prison cell and no one else can hear it,

the guard could say, philosophically, "It didn't happen, did it?"

And wouldn't you rather be tortured for the land of the free

then for some stupid religious ideology?

And is it really torture...

How about a naked pyramid or putting on a dog collar?

Maybe you'll start talking after a little dip in the water

and doesn't a prisoner look better with a few spots of black and blue?

I'll bet secretly they enjoy this almost as much as we do.
