Texas Rain

"The roof of the Armadillo didn't leak,

only a little," said John,

leaning up against a tree.

"And if the band on stage was cooking

and I'd been doing some hot-footing,

getting wet sure never bothered me."

Standing in the Texas rain

you could almost feel your heart change.

It'll give you a little relief

from that hot hot Texas heat

Traveling dusty and dirty

through the hills so hot and thirsty,

I felt a few drops and that was all.
