Go your way on the road that you travel

step by step with your feet on the ground

and as you go your way look forward every day

and you let no one turn you around.

Some will say that you are not worthy,

that you don't deserve the good things you have now.

Don't let these things they say touch you in any way

and you let no one turn you around.

Take the hand of a brother or sister

when the time comes to stand and reach out.

You're stronger together when you're standing hand to hand

and you let no one turn you around.

Carry on the hope and the struggle

in ways to make the older ones proud

and as you do, be sure to thank those who came before

and you let no one turn you around.

On some days you may feel so discouraged.

All you can see are your questions and doubts

but take the days one by one

and someday the change will come

if you let no one turn you around.
