Dusty

Dusty walks in shuffle time.

You can't catch him with a line

because he doesn't need someone to believe

or someone to make up his mind.

Dusty, he might not speak

if you see him on the street

but you can tell that he's for real

just by the way he moves his feet.

Dusty, he can see right through

some of these story-telling fools

and he doesn't lie, he just tells

a different kind of truth.

Dusty, he might know what's what

and then again, he might not.

He doesn't talk too much, he just says enough

to let you guess a lot.
