My Karma Your Dogma
I'm sorry that my karma ran over your dogma
on the high road to enlightenment.
I couldn't stop my destiny from knocking down your ideology
and I know that dogma was your special pet.
You can let a dogma bark at all the passing karmas
but you should have kept your ideas on a leash.
Now the bare bones of your beliefs are lying in a sad, sorry heap
on a very existential street.
I'm sorry that my karma ran over your dogma
and my karma isn't very fast.
I try to watch for dogmas and steer clear of them if I can
but yours came out of nowhere and attacked.
I know how badly you must feel, your dogma crushed beneath the wheel
and nothing left for you to believe in.
A dogma can have bark and bite but against a karma in a fight
even a big, big dogma never wins.
I'm sorry that my karma ran over your dogma.
My karma didn't mean to hurt the poor thing.
I know sometimes a dogma can be a man's very best friend.
It's hard to let go of old thinking.
If you need a dogma you can get another one too
but of course it won't be the same.
If meta is after before and you metaphor when less is more
now you met a physical state that you can't change.
