Muddy River

You heard it in a whisper,

now you want to see with your own eyes

about a way to freedom

starting down by the riverside.

That muddy river could wash you soul so clean

and when you stand up on that far shore,

you'll know your soul has been set free.

Can a blind man see?

Can a dead man get up and walk?

When the spirit moves on the water

it can take you along.
