Now and Then

Now and then it happens

some thoughts can take me backwards.

Now and then some sadness falls

even after all this time

whenever you are on my mind

in the scenes that I recall.

Now and then I wonder if you're with another.

Now and then I understand you probably have someone

and no matter what was said or done

you won't be coming back.

Now I don't even see your face

or hear your voice.

Then we did share some good times

till you made your choice

and went your way.

Now and then remember when we were together.

Now and then those better times are on my mind

but now I've got to let them go somehow

and forget about you and I.
